A riad is the most Marrakchi of houses: rooms turned inward around a courtyard garden, a roof terrace over the medina. The register holds restored riads ready to live in or to run as a maison d'hôtes, and a few to restore for those who want to do it themselves.

Before anything else, ask about the title. Many medina houses are held under melkia, a traditional deed, rather than a registered titre foncier; a good notaire can register it, but it takes time and should be priced in. Each entry states what is known.
